What Does Socialist Research Look Like in Venezuela?

In capitalist societies the image of scientists is that they work as isolated individuals in labs, supposedly being the economic and political realities of their society. This researcher claims that the socialist work of a scientist is not only to do collaborative research with other scientists, but also to involve the community in the research.

A socialist researcher does not ask questions that appear as apolitical. She picks issues of oppression and formulates research questions about them. She also asks research questions designed to dismantle capitalism. Lastly, she asks scientific questions about the best way people can build a new system.
