Therapy Co-Ops Focus on Oppression and the Leveling of Hierarchy

The field of psychotherapy has hardly been friendly to socialism or worker co-ops. Over the years most psychotherapists do not become socially involved and seem content with one-on-one sessions with their patients.

At the other end of the spectrum, social workers who work in institutions have too many clients and too little funding resulting in burnout. This article is the story of how two women started their own psychotherapy co-op with the focus on social oppression externally while minimizing hierarchy within their sessions.
