Believe it or not, long term global trade was better a century ago than it has since the Cold War. Now thanks to His Majesty, the only countries willing to trade with the United States are those that it bullies.
The fact in both the number of countries using gold and its increasing prices as opposed to the dollar is an expression of this distrust. BRICS needs to build its own foreign exchange markets so that neutral countries have an alternative to the dollar and SWIFT.
