This is a terrific article which identifies the right-wing tendencies in many European countries. It points out how it’s the anti-working class orientation of the centrist parties in Europe that laid the foundations for this.
They rightly criticize social democrat parties in France for not stepping up when Macron was on the ropes. But what they ignore is all the Trotskyist parties in Europe that have been ineffective as a force in their own right.
