If what has happened in Chile over the last ten years was turned into a movie, it would be called “Revenge on the Chicago Boys.” As reported by Naomi Klein in her book “Shock Doctrine”, Milton Friedman trained economists to get themselves on the advisory boards of neoliberal governments around the world and they ransacked the state structure of the country. As Marx once said, under capitalism EVERYTHING is for sale. Well, not in Chile. The new constitution will send these Chicago Boys packing!
