China’s GDP economic growth rate in 2023 was 5.2%. The Yankee growth rate was 2.5%. Therefore, the Chinese economy has grown twice as fast, right? Wrong. Neoclassical economists claim a 2.5% rise is proof that worries about a recession are over!
Conversely China’s growth rate is proof that China is falling apart and its state-controlled industry is on the verge of collapse. Black propaganda comes in two forms. One is simply making up facts. The other is interpreting facts in such a way that is the opposite of logical conclusions.
