When most people think of propaganda, they think of seductive images or words, whether they be in-person or on media. But there is another kind of propaganda, the propaganda of numbers. This is called “bureaucratic propaganda” which has to do with statistics given by the state. In Mordor today bureaucratic propaganda is at work in how unemployment stats, stats about COVID along with student depth are presented.
