The federal government’s refusal to develop any kind of coherent plan for dealing with COVID-19 has resulted in a dramatic increase in new cases of the virus this week. Four states – Arizona, Texas, Florida and California – now account for 50% of the new infections. The refusal of the people in these states to curtail their social activities and wear masks shows that pandemic lunacy lies with the masses, not just their leaders.
