We don’t agree with all of Medea Benjamin’s top ten events of 2022, but we think she is right to accentuate the positive. We think that Latin America did reject fascist alternatives twice. However, it’s stretching things to argue that Lula represents any Pink Tide. We agree that the media turnaround on Julian Assange is wonderful. Centrally, the return of the labor movement in Mordor is vital. Finally, the expansion of BRICS and the multipolar movement is 350 years in the making.
