On the surface it may seem like a good idea to invent a stock that has to to with the natural world. “At last”, you may think. “Finally the natural world will be treated as more than an “externality”. But the problem is – what will be defined as “nature” and which companies will do the defining? Will subsistence farming be chosen over GMO products? We doubt it.
