Michael Roberts, with his usual evenhandedness, compares various views of China in terms of its relationship between the Chinese State and capitalism. Two books are unfavorable and one is favorable. Michael points out that the most important Marxist starting point for analyzing China is the law of value. None of the authors have started with that.
