The Political Economy of South Korea: A World-Historical Perspective

When mainstream news discusses what is going on in a single country, in this case South Korea,  it talks about the political dynamics within a single nation state. It rarely connects political events to its economic situation.

Neither does it discuss how the international politics of other nation states might be affecting South Korea. Nor does mainstream media connect what is happening in the international political economy to South Korea. Lucky for us we have two political economists who do all the things mainstream doesn’t. In addition, Hudson and Wolff connect the problems of South Korea going back decades.
