The Legacy of Friedrich Engels 200 Years Later: The First Marxist Communist

This is a rich and exhaustive review of Engels life and his contributions to many fields including economics, anthropology and communist theory. As this article points out, and is corroborated by Michael Roberts, Engels and Marx’s work are inseparable. The article goes into great detail about how and why many academic Marxists have tried to separate Engels from Marx. Our one reservation is the authors did not deal with Engels’ book The Dialectics of Nature and whether there is such a dialectic.
