The Case of Cybernetic Communism: Neither States, Markets or Localism

In our minds, there is no question that workers self-management can and has worked in small-scale industries. It has also worked large-scale, as in the case of  the anarchist collectives in Spain. But anarchism generally has trouble with problems of scale. In reaction, some socialists have argued for centralized state planning while other socialists have wanted to break in a “socialist market”. This article rejects state and market solutions and argues that the introduction of cybernetics can solve large scale planning processes such as natural energy distribution, health care and transportation.
