From personal experience, we can say that it is hard enough to organize adjuncts even when face-to-face meeting are possible. We are up against exploitation by the boards of directors and neglect and apathy on the part of tenured professors and their union. Think how difficult it would be to organize adjuncts remotely. Well, not only is it being done, but it is being done by using a worker’s coop model. So far it has given teachers a greater share of student fees and greater amount of paid time off.
