Steve Bannon’s International Fascist Group: Beware of Appropriation of Working-Class Political Labels

Steve Bannon’s fascist international in Brussels is titled “The Movement”. This article goes into the history of how fascist parties have reappropriated socialist titles of parties as their own, beginning with Germany.  The rest of the article goes into the changing of the names of parties in Bannon’s strongholds, Brazil and Colombia. Just as the Republican party in Yankeedom has nothing to do with republics – and just as the Democratic Party has nothing to do with democracy, we shouldn’t expect socialist parties to have anything necessarily to do with socialism.
