Santa’s Capitalist Inefficiency in Capitalist Production

On one hand it appears that capitalist overproduction of goods is a good thing. After all, producing too much is better than not producing enough – right? But the problem is that there is no coordination of production. Capitalists will produce many commodities people do not need but are produced cheaply, turning over a profit. On the other hand, there are many goods like low-cost housing which people want but which capitalists won’t produce because they are not profitable. Capitalist production is erratic and chaotic.
