As usual, every deal involving Russia selling arms around the world is looked upon by the US State Department as a challenge to its world dominance. For Africa, every western media outlet echoes the same line: “Russian Bogeyman Selling Africa Weapons”. What they ignore are the railcars Russia has sold to Egypt, their input into mechanical engineering projects, chemical and the timber industry. Using propaganda language manipulation, for the Yankees, Africa represents “opportunity”. Yankee media presents Russia’s technological interventions as really about “building empires”.
