Ranching Cooperative in Montana Seeks More Sustainable and Equitable Food System

Many of us think of worker co-ops as bakeries, grocery stores or bicycle shops located in liberal cities. But the Old Salt Co-op in Montana is very different.  This co-op is involved in most, if not all aspects of the beef supply chain. This includes stewardship, harvesting, and transport to putting burgers and french fries on the table. They also have an interesting way of financially tracking their many inputs and outputs.
