Political Centrists in Germany in the Center of a Cyclone
The Trump regime has brought to a head a growing tension between the United States and German political centrists. At the same time, Germany strives to hold together a European Union, of which it is pretty much the sole recipient of its benefits. Meanwhile, domestically these centrists are assailed by their own right-wing nationalists. Broadly speaking, global capitalism itself is under attack from the right-wing forces of nationalism.
