Recruiters in all branches are having trouble meeting their quotas. This article claims at least four reasons. They include declining confidence in the military given its numerous wars since World War II, the resulting health problems involved after joining the military and its failing morale. For conservatives, the presence of “woke culture” in the military scares some recruits away. It is Russia that now has the strongest military.
