Mental Health Worker Coop in NYC: Thriving In Turbulent Times

On the surface psychotherapy seems like the essence of a capitalist institution. One-on-one counseling where your problems are treated as if they are unique, despite the commonalties of most people’s problems to others. It seems it would be the least amenable to a worker coop. But in NYC, this mental health collective is giving people a living wage, providing group support and autonomy with their case loads.
