What are the forces responsible for inflation? Answering this question is the main job of the Fed. Rather than question ruling class profits during inflation, the Fed has decided inflation is the fault of the working-class. So, with good capitalist rationality, the Fed wants to lower wages, increase unemployment and reduce consumer demand in order to lower inflation. It is not hard to see the class bias of this institution.
