When the Soviet Union existed its political system was mercilessly attacked as dictatorial. The Communist Party ruled and permitted no opposition. In Israel right-wing parties have ruled for many decades. Two conclusions are that either Israel is a right-wing dictatorship or the Jewish population itself is very right-wing. This article describes the real and growing opposition to the rule of right-wing parties among the Israeli population.
