Those Yankees lucky enough to have a roof over their heads and enough food to eat will have little to celebrate this Thanksgiving. Mass shootings are becoming a regular occurrence with three in this last week alone. One million, one hundred thousand people have lost their lives to Covid because the state had no national plan to combat it. 20% of Yankees reported food insecurity – twice what was reported two years ago. Drug overdoses are 5 times what they were in 1999. As this article describes, we are living in a time of advanced political decay.
