Fragile Global Supplies Chains Spell Big Trouble for Dependent Yankee Consumers

Domestically, Yankee inflation is happening partly because capitalist employers won’t pay workers enough to buy their products off the shelf. However, internationally there is a much bigger problem. Global supply chains are very fragile because of the Delta variant of COVID. China is by far the greatest supplier of goods to the Yankee population. What if China had to slow down its trade because the workers on the supply chains were sick and not able to work? What will Yankee consumers do, since Yankee capitalists had shut down their own manufacturing plants years ago?
