Ecuador’s Left-Wing Model of Regional and International Solidarity

On one hand, it’s disappointing to see South American countries that elect socialist candidates fail to put socialism into practice. On the other hand this is difficult to do when most countries also have colonial histories to overcome. This article shows the many ways Rafael Correa has improved Ecuador as an international partner. Some of his actions include throwing the US military out of the country, providing Julian Assange refuge, and working with China to build infrastructures.
