Duterte, Philippine Tycoons and Security State Tensions
As Duterte continues to move closer to a geopolitical and economic alliance with China, this article points out that there are tensions between him and the Philippine security state. This security state is suspicious of China and is reliant on the US Empire. At the same time, Philippine tycoons have signed a deal involving $24 billion in commercial assets with China.
