Communism From Below: Poor People Organize Cooperatives in Latin America

What is wonderful to realize is that whether the government claims to be socialist or capitalist, worker cooperatives spring up independently. Here is a case of a dairy cooperative in Ecuador and a weaving coop in Chiapas, Mexico organized by poor people. This challenges the stereotype that only the middle classes are interested in coops.
