In this article Michael Roberts both sums up the state of the world economy now as well as projecting what it will be in 2021. His first point is that the market fundamentalist economies like Yankeedom have done the worst because neither the state not the population had a central plan for the virus. Secondly, at the end of 2020, 93% of the countries in the world are in an economic slump, the slump ranging from 5-15%. Lastly, and not surprisingly, the global south has been hit the hardest – and India worst of all. What does this imply for 2021?
