This is a good article for describing how to bring back apathetic union members into union activism. It explains why union members might not be thrilled with the Democratic Party.
But when it comes to considering a third party the author falls to face the corruption of the Democratic Party is. The author does not advocate starting a third party elections EVERYWHERE, but rather to run candidates selectively so as not to be a “spoiler”. This implies the Democratic Party is left of the Republicans. In addition, the author says nothing about the Green Party, which has already done the hard work of organizing in all 50 states. If the Green Party isn’t viable it should be said why it isn’t a solution.
