Anti-Russian Rhetoric by Chomsky and Hedges Serves Leftist Gatekeeping

Noam Chomsky and Chris Hedges play a small but important role in the tiny Yankee left. In Ukraine, on the one hand they condemn the United States and NATO and on the other condemn Russian “war crimes”. They imagine they are leading the charge with the slogan, “a pox on both of you”. One of the many problems with this analysis is the confidence Chomsky places in the truthfulness of the reports on Ukraine by US media.
For all his supposed propaganda analysis, Chomsky does not apply this to US media reports. The presence of CIA agents in the New York Times suddenly doesn’t seem to matter to him.
