Alternative Means for Landless Indians To Possess Small Farms

More than half the rural households in India have no land. No farmland means no crops can be grown and no dairy products produced. Help getting these farmers land was promised in the post-independence regime, but this hasn’t happened. There are two peaceful projects. One is to develop degraded wastelands and convert to farmland. The second is to regenerate the forests. But of those are long-term plans. What about right now? As usual, land has been found for corporate real estate  interests and land could just as easily be seized and taken from them (an armed-conflict solution).
