What the Anglo-American empire expected was that as a result of their sanctions Russia would crack and Putin would be driven from power. What happened instead is that it is one of the foundation stones of the European Union – France – is up in flames. The article compares the differences between the Russian and French situations and demonstrates that a society can fall apart even when there is no alternative in place.
