Even if it were once true, that is no longer the case. Hamas has captured many Israeli soldiers and citizens and is perfectly content to settle into a long war. Netanyahu cannot afford a long war like this either politically or militarily. The author, Ramzy Baroud, predicts that Israel has already lost the war.
