The supply chain problems that will deeply impact capitalist profits this Christmas have to do with capitalist stingyness and myopia. There is a shortage of warehouse workers, truck drivers and ship unloaders, not because people don’t want to work, but because of the stagnant pay, long hours and health issues. These are all problems capitalists could fix. These capitalists want their cake and to be able to eat it, too. They want their products circulated, bought by consumers, but they won’t pay producers enough to make the circulation happen.
