What Kind of Party for 21st Century Socialism? The Case of Argentina

This article describes the success of the political actions of the PTS party in Argentina in recent months. Its successors were based on a party of roughly 3,000 people.  It rightly criticizes the DSA as having little comparative success despite having 10 times the members as PTS. So what kind of party do we need to build 21st century socialism? Is it a social democratic party focused on elections; a Leninist vanguard party which seizes state power; or is it something else?
