U.S. Long Term Hypocrisy on Recognition of Jerusalem as Capital of Israel
Most of us are rightfully enraged at Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. We all know that the U.S. has given only lip service to the myth of a peaceful accord between Israel and Palestine. Israel and the U.S. have no such illusions. But what most of us have not known is that there has been a loophole in the law allowing the White House to put off the decision to relocate the embassy. And that loophole has been used by every single president, including Obama, since 1995.
