Too Little Too Late? Some German Politicians Regret Break with Russia

It may be too late for Germany as it has dumped its nuclear sources of energy. But at least some of its politicians, primarily Gerhard Schroder, would like a reconciliation with Russia. This article points out that the strength of the German economy in the past has been its ability to rely on cheap Russian gas. As it is, if Russia deserts Germany and throws its fate with Asia, Germany will be in far deeper trouble than it is now.
