How will the Trump muggles deal with the ramifications of tariffs? First, there are no new jobs being created. Second, under previous tariffs from a few years ago consumers have paid much more for their goods.
Third, since the US imports only about 13% of its goods, most other countries will not have much trouble finding other buyers. They will not be “punished”. Lastly, the tariffs of today have a chilling parallel with what happened before the Great Depression.
