When most of us think of strikes, we think of strikes that are led by “UNIONS” with workers on picket lines. But there are labor strikes today which are not led by unions and where there is no picket line. Instead, workers are staying home and refusing to go to work because of paltry wages and poor or no benefits. Roughly only half of the real 9-10 million unemployed have returned to work. This militant attitude is helping those employed and unionized to hold their own strikes in food processing and agricultural equipment industries to hospitals and health care.
