As much as Donald Trump fancies himself a “maverick”, he is really part of a world fascist movement that includes Europe and India. This movement is a reaction to a polycrisis in the areas of geopolitical fault lines between BRICS and the West and the failure of Neoliberal economics after 2007.
It also includes extreme weather and the decline in population of the West. What the article fails to mention is the cause of fascism is inseparable from the failure of the socialist left to either win elections in Europe or for its politicians to speak to the same needs as fascism, but to do it better.
