Supply Chains Weakened Because of Truck Driver Shortage

Once again, myopic capitalists can’t understand why there is a shortage of truck drivers to deliver their goods. It couldn’t be the long hours, low pay and being away from home for weeks, could it? Before the era of market fundamentalist deregulation of the trucking industry, truck driving was a high-paying job. Not today. Desperate capitalists, with their always “visionary planning”, have tried to solve the crisis by lowering the hiring age of drivers from 21 to 18. Anything to keep from spending more money on workers so they won’t leave.
