Spain’s Left Politics: Dangerous Opportunity
This is a thorough summary of the left in Spain. What this has in common with the rest of Europe is: a) the collapse of respect for centralist politics; b) the rise of popular interest in right wing and left wing politics; c) a weakness in left wing parties’ ability or willingness to take uncompromising socialist stands. It is a dangerous opportunity, because if the left doesn’t take power, the right wing most certainly will.
