Yankee elites have acted as an all-knowing leader over European affairs ever since World War II. They assume that any European transactions around infrastructure, technology and harnessing energy will go through them. The majority shareholder of Nord Stream is a Russian-owned company. The Nord Stream 2 pipeline offers a Russian abundance of oil and gas to heat and cool the homes of Germans at lower prices. Europe has turned to Russia for these needs. Yankees go home.
