Renaissance Woman Sylvia Pankhurst: Feminist, Artist, Council Communist, Anti-Imperialist

The life of Silvia Pankhurst is an amazing tale of a woman who insisted that real feminism could only be achieved through socialism. An anti-war militant and supporter of the Russian Revolution, Silvia was imprisoned fifteen times. She agitated against Mussolini for almost 20 years and defended Ethiopia against imperial attacks by Italy and Britain. She lived her last years in Ethiopia and was so loved and respected there that she and her family are the only foreigners to be buried with the Ethiopian fighters against imperialism. What a fighter!
