Public Bank Funds Police in Repression of Standing Rock

For many of us who support worker cooperatives, The Bank of North Dakota, the nation’s only public bank, is held up as a model for how banking should be. Well, this article should take the bloom off the rose. We don’t conclude that public banking doesn’t work. We simply see this as another example of how capitalist interests can override even the best of institutions.
