This is an excellent presentation by Ben Norton against Western propaganda about China. It challenges the assumption that if China has only a very few capitalist institutions, then it’s all capitalist.
Yes, China has capitalists who operate within them. Yes, China allows people to start their own businesses. Yes, China has a stock market. But none of these institutions keep China from developing socialism. The key is their state-owned enterprises and their commitment to building infrastructures internationally and domestically.
