The definition of stupid is to continue to do the same thing even though the results are self-destructive. What the European rulers continue to see in the United States defies logic.
Mordor is charging these rulers way more than Russia did for natural gas yet these rulers insist that Russia is a threat. This is based on at least two illusions. First, Russia is dependent on Europe for resources. The truth is that Russia has many trading partners in the East. Secondly, European rulers imagine their country has enviable resources. Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries? Yes. 20th centuries? Forget it.
