The Nobel Peace Prize has always had a dark history such as when it nominates Henry Kissinger and ignores Gandhi. But on those days the prize was at least given to political actions already taken.
Recently the prize was given to the pro-US and pro-Israel Venezuelan Maria Corina Machado for her intentions to bring peace, not for actions already achieved. Where is she intending to bring peace? To Venezuela where the oil available is and the living is easy.
